We are proud to announce we will be opening the first date of Negură Bunget’s Transilivanian Legacy Tour in Brooklyn, NY at the Cameo Gallery. The event will be held Friday, April 20th. Hæthen once again will make their way west to play the annual Gathering of Shadows festival held in Colorado. With a very robust lineup in order, we will leave our mark by unveiling the entirety of our new album for the first time. This will likely be the last show performed for good while as we plan to enter the studio immediately after. After nearly a two year hiatus, Hæthen will be performing a live musical ritual within the realm of the North East Kingdom. The event is scheduled for December 9th at 8pm — all interested in attending must contact us first as it will be invite only. The majority of the hour-long set will be new material written for the forthcoming album. This will mark the first time that the new sound is unveiled upon an outsider ear.

The obtainment of knowledge is an isolated human condition attempting to justify the confines of the human experience. The epistemological endeavors that individuals undertake vary in manner and methodological approach and are generally broken down into two hierarchies of thought, those of Eastern and Western interpretation. Since the condition of knowing is relational to the cognition of the seer, and it is this “one who perceives” that is commonly referred to as the self, its definition tends to vary. The precepts underlying Theravada Buddhism and David Hume’s Bundle Theory attempt to bring clarity to the notion self and no-self and subsequently reveal an often overlooked parallel between a segregated philosophical world.
Despite a long and arrogant silence, Hæthen is still active and working on material for what will be the first full length album. As of right now, 4 new songs are nearing their completion along with an instrumental track.
So images and vast shapes of insurmountable fortitude invade a once lost mind. And to recreate the wonder of monolithic crescent peaks basking in the sun-born first rays, the task will be immense. As all great feats and displays of human achievement can only be measured by the sum of the struggle and the desire to overcome, this forthcoming creation of Hæthen will be a testament of will, demonstrating the spiritual journey one experiences while walking through roaring forests of desolation; beneath growth that remains unsurpassed. And it is upon this sacred soil that one feels the will embodied within the infinitude of all infinities — all is possible when one sees possibility as a reflection of the source.
Within the coming months, before the thaw of winter, a sample track and more information shall be posted.

With the surprisingly large amounts of requests we have recently received, Hæthen is currently working on a cassette release of the Wanderer demo.
As of right now, we are contacting a few different distributors and talking politics. More information will come unto thee shortly, once all is settled in stone.
